PRESS RELEASE From the Desk of the State Secretary – PMAN Plateau State Chapter

Date: September 15, 2025

Fellow Musicians, Creatives, and Entertainers,

I am deeply honored and humbled to have been elected as the first-ever Secretary of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Plateau State Chapter. This is not just a personal victory — it is a win for every creative voice in Plateau State that believes in representation, inclusion, and progress.

For the first time in our history, this position was chosen by the people rather than appointed. This means one thing: your voice matters, and I am here to serve you.

As your duly elected Secretary, I intend to make our secretariat more than just a title — it will become a hub for communication, accountability, and opportunity. Here’s how I plan to deliver on your mandate:

1. Transparency & Accessibility
I will keep our members updated on every major decision, partnership, and opportunity through regular bulletins, meetings, and digital updates. You will always know what is happening and how it affects you.

2. Open-Door Secretariat
Our secretariat will be open for suggestions, grievances, and creative ideas. Every member deserves to feel heard and respected.

3. Stronger Industry Links
I will work with our Governor, Deputy Governor, and entire executive team to build partnerships with event organizers, record labels, government agencies, and private sponsors — creating more platforms for Plateau creatives to shine.

4. Training & Development
We will prioritize workshops and mentorship programs to help members stay relevant, build sustainable careers, and grow their craft in the fast-changing creative industry.

5. Documentation & Recognition
PMAN records will be properly kept and digitized. We will celebrate our legends and spotlight emerging talent to motivate the next generation.

This victory belongs to all of us. Let’s work together to make Plateau State a creative powerhouse and ensure every musician, artist, and entertainer has a seat at the table.

Thank you for trusting me with this historic responsibility. The work begins now — and I can’t do it without you.

In solidarity,

Christopher H. Deshe (Qriztyle)
State Secretary, PMAN Plateau State Chapter
