PMAN Plateau State Elects New Executive – Historic First Elected Secretary Emerges

The Plateau State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN) held its long-awaited elections on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at De-Bridge Hotel, opposite Hill Crest School, Jos, Plateau State.

The event, which was highly anticipated by musicians and stakeholders across the state, saw a strong turnout and was described by observers as peaceful, free, and fair.

Gabriel Hodus, popularly known as El’more Mayor, emerged as the new PMAN Governor, while Eunice Weng Danja was elected as Deputy Governor amongst others who won also. In a historic moment, Christopher H. Deshe, known in the music scene as Qriztyle Deshe, was elected as the State Secretary — the very first time the position has been filled through an election rather than an appointment.

Speaking after the election, stakeholders applauded the process, noting that the decision to allow members to vote for key offices, including the Secretary’s seat, represents a major step forward for democracy within PMAN Plateau State.

The newly elected executives have pledged to work together to advance the interests of performing musicians in the state, foster unity, and create more opportunities for talent development.
